Ozone-Free Design

In an enclosed space, ozone produced by laser printers can cause irritation of the eyes and respiratory system, so KYOCERA Document Solutions is determined to reduce ozone emissions as much as possible. Consequently, we incorporate positively-charged photoconductors that generate less ozone into our products and parts.

Since January 2009, the company has adopted a system in which an a-Si drum is combined with the positive charging roller system, thereby successfully reducing the generation of ozone to a negligible level.
