    UN Sustainability Goals.

    We are structuring our CSR goals for the UK in support of the UN SDG.
    UN Sustainability Goals.

    In line with the Kyocera Philosophy Motto to “Do the right thing as a human being” and in line with Kyocera’s signature to the UN Global Compact, we are structuring our Social Responsibility Goals for the UK in support of the six UN Sustainable Development Goals below.

    UN Sustainability Goal 3

    Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages

    What we’re doing:

    • Mental Health Support to employees, including trained mental health
    • First Aiders - We have Defibrillators in all our office/warehouse location should the worst happen.
    • We’re running Staff Wellbeing Challenges
    UN Sustainability Goal 5

    Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls

    What we’re doing:

    • Reporting on our gender pay gap.

    Promote sustained inclusive and sustainable economic growth

    What we’re doing:

    • Staff Charity fundraising days and company donation matching
    • We have rolled out Modern Slavery Prevention training to all staff
    • Tracking prompt supplier payments
    • Staff paid volunteering days

    Reduce inequality within and among countries

    What we’re doing:

    • We’re a nationwide employer
    • We’re a Living Wage Employer
    • We offer apprenticeship training to help our staff develop (e.g. ILM training)
    • Staff volunteering days
    • Free leaflet printing for charities
    UN Sustainability Goal 12

    Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns

    What we’re doing:

    • Kyocera products have low environmental impact packaging
    • Kyocera toner cartridges are easy to recycle
    • Kyocera uses a Lifecycle Assessment Methodology to reduce the environmental impact of the product throughout its lifecycle.
    • We offer a toner and hardware recycling scheme for our customers
    • Offering paper deforestation offset for production printing

    Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

    What we’re doing:

    • Kyocera Corporation has published a Corporate Carbon Reduction Commitment
    • All electricity used on our premises comes from 100% renewable sources
    • Our Hybrid Work Policy cuts down on commuting emissions
    • We encourage sustainable transport through our cycle to work scheme
    • We’ve upgraded our corporate car fleet to lower emissions models in 2020

    Life on land

    What we’re doing:

    • We have installed two bee hives, increasing biodiversity and supporting native species decline.
    • As part of our offsetting, new trees are planted which both; Neutralize carbon emissions and Reforest areas of which will be used as natural habitat for wildlife.
