KYOCERA Document Solutions, one of the world’s leading document solutions companies, today announced the launch of a new remote maintenance and management tool – KYOCERA Fleet Services. Hosted in the cloud, this web-based solution enables dealers and service providers to remotely monitor, manage and maintain their customers’ network devices and to swiftly respond to evolving customer needs.
Providing genuine cost-saving potential while remaining focused on improving customer relationships is crucial when it comes to customer retention. Offered as a new service in the KYOCERA Cloud, KYOCERA Fleet Services (henceforth ‘KFS’) makes it easy for service providers to expand and optimise their service offerings. A KFS subscription enables dealers to drive efficiency and increase their competitive edge, allowing them to retain existing customers and attract new business.
Subscribing to KFS will allow dealers and service providers to drastically reduce the number of customer visits and remotely maintain, troubleshoot and configure customer devices. Should an on-site visit be required, service technicians will be much better prepared in terms of device status information, enabling them to bring any parts and tools that may be required. This means the duration of customer visits will be optimised, minimising service costs while maximising device uptime and customer productivity.
KFS also enables service providers to greatly improve their supply management to the customer by providing real-time information on the toner levels of customer devices and sending email notifications when supplies are running low. In addition, this solution can generate scheduled device counter reports for customer billing and click contracts. Thanks to its multivendor support, Kyocera’s new solution helps dealers get the most out of their MDS deals.
“We are very excited about the huge potential of our new remote maintenance and management tool. KFS empowers service providers by providing valuable user insights that enable them to deliver much better customer service. Our constantly evolving KFS offerings guarantee our partners to always be ahead of the competition”, comments Vindhesh Kumar, Senior Manager Strategic Business Development at KYOCERA Document Solutions Europe. “At the same time, end-users need not be concerned about the security of their information assets, because the device information obtained from customers only contains information necessary for management and maintenance of the devices. It doesn’t contain sensitive customer information, such as address books. Also, our partners will only access their customers’ networks as long as the customer agrees”, Kumar explains.
KFS is offered as Software as a Service (SaaS) and is hosted in the cloud. This means that service providers and dealers need not invest in IT infrastructure such as PCs and servers, nor do IT staff need to spend time on maintaining this infrastructure.
KYOCERA Fleet Services will be available throughout the Europe, the Middle East and Africa from September 1st.
