Make the Call Challenge
Everyday 13 men lose their lives to suicide.

It's time to make the call and reach out to those who are finding life tough right now
As part of Men's Mental Health Awareness Week, Kyocera are supporting the Make the Call Challenge.
This challenge fits perfectly with Kyocera’s guiding philosophy of ‘do what is right as a human being‘ which underpins everything that we do. This mental health challenge supports our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goal of good health and wellbeing.

The Challenge
We will be asking those that wish to for 7 days to do...
- 13 sit-ups
- 13 push-ups
- 13 squats
- Make a call to someone whom you think would benefit from a call, txt, WhatsApp!
You can of course replace any exercise that is within your limits.
And if you are happy to, take a video and you share it on social media. Using the hashtag #makethecallchallenge

Why do this?
- To raise the awareness of mental ill-health in the UK
- To eliminate the stigma of talking about our mental health and in particular suicide.
- To get people - especially men to talk about their struggles and mental health.
- To encourage us to reach out to those who might be finding life tough. To encourage those who are finding life tough to reach out.
- To offer HOPE to those experiencing poor mental health.
Because...
- In one year, there were 6507 suicides in the UK 4,903 were men.
- 75% of all suicides in the UK were men.
- Suicide is the biggest cause of death for men aged 20-49 in the UK.
It's time to talk. It's time to make the call.
You make the call…. they make the call….. we make the call. It doesn’t matter who makes the call….. It’s time to talk.
