What are we offsetting as a carbon neutral business?
Our calculation of KYOCERA Group UK's operational carbon emissions (measured in CO2 equivalents) includes:
- Direct (scope 1) emissions – from gas central heating and fuel for company-owned vehicles.
- Electricity-related (scope 2) emissions - a calculation of the emissions from the generation the electricity we consume, based on the UK energy grid's mix of energy sources.
- Certain indirect (scope 3) emissions - employees' work-related travel in their own vehicles which is expensed to our business.
What are we offsetting on our carbon neutral MFPs and printers?
Our calculation of our KYOCERA devices’ carbon emissions (measured in CO2 equivalents) includes:
- The carbon emissions from the production and transport to you of the device itself and the Kyocera genuine consumables used over standard rated lifetime (60 months).
- Standard consumables usage used for the calculation is based on the manufacturers target average monthly duty cycle (70% mono prints/30% colour prints).
