At Kyocera, we're on a sustainability journey. We've carbon offset our business operations and are taking other steps to reduce our impact on the environment. What's more, Kyocera devices are designed with the environment in mind, with low energy consumption, long-lasting consumables, the use of recycled plastics and recyclable plastics and our award-winning packaging.
Since 2024 all new printer and mfp’s have been offered carbon neutral as standard. For our range of production printers and devices not carbon neutral as standard, we offer a bolt on option that offsets the carbon from the manufacturing and shipping of the device.
How do we offset the carbon of our print devices?
Our devices, plus the Kyocera genuine consumables they use over the lifetime of the product (see t&cs) are offset, either as standard (depending on model) or through a simple bolt-on to the device purchase. This covers all elements of production, packaging, transportation, Kyocera consumables, plus Kyocera genuine toner and device recycling. Based on these factors, we've calculated how much carbon needs to be offset for each device in our range.
We offset your new Kyocera devices through Ecologi, the same partner we use to offset our own UK business operations. With Ecologi, we invest in international projects which are quantified against the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Ecologi support the leading industry standards including Gold Standard, VCS, Puro and 3rd party quality assessments such as Be Zero Carbon, Calyx Global, Renoster and Sylvera.
