Kyocera's unique technology results in better print quality, lower energy costs, less maintenance, and less impact on the environment.

  • Printhead technology

    Kyocera's advanced printhead technology

The TASKalfa Pro 15000c features a line type inkjet print head for high-speed single-pass printing that prints 150 pages per minute (A4 size). The inkjet method enables continuous printing of 9,000 sheets (A4 size) per hour while maintaining stable colour quality, without interruption of calibration as seen in electrophotography, or slowing down during thick paper printing.

The TASKalfa Pro 15000c maintains output quality by effectively removing dried ink and dirt from the surface of the print head and keeps it clean at all times. Our unique cleaning solution is fed from a special nozzle at the end of the print head to dissolve the dried ink, which is then applied to the blade to wipe the head surface. With this technology, the printer can print up to 60 million pages without maintenance.

The TASKalfa Pro 15000c constantly monitors the speed that media is passing through the print heads in “real time” to ensure the ink jet heads accurately lay ink dots onto the paper to optimise print quality and prevent colour shift.

The CIS (contact image sensor) senses paper edge position during printing and sends paper position data to the video controller in real time. Using the paper position data, the position accuracy with respect to the paper is suppressed to ± 0.5 mm or less. Using the paper position data, the positional inaccuracy with respect to the paper is suppressed to ± 0.5 mm or less. This achieves high-precision during double-sided printing without using any moving parts. The CIS also detects areas of media and ensures ink is placed only onto the media, and prevents ink from being ejected to areas where paper corners are broken or punched, and prevents image deterioration due to ink adhesion at the transport level.

  • Water-based ink

    Kyocera's water-based ink

Kyocera has developed a range of water-based pigment inks with reduced emissions of VOC (volatile organic compounds) and UFP (ultrafine particles). Our inks cause less atmospheric pollution and also improve the workplace environment at commercial and industrial printing facilities.

Kyocera has developed its own inks specifically designed for the TASKalfa Pro 15000c to ensure quick drying of prints, preventing feathering and ink bleeding, delivering superior reproduction of sharp text and fine lines and smooth gradations for photo images. In addition, our water-based pigment ink has superior light fastness and water resistance.

  • Versatility

    Versatile output

The TASKalfa Pro 15000c can print on plain, thick, inkjet, inkjet matte, and tab paper as well as embossed paper and banners. It also supports paper thickness up to 360g / ㎡ and an extensive range of standard paper sizes from A6 to SRA3. The optional banner tray supports extra-long paper sizes up to 1,220 mm. In addition, it supports embossed paper with irregularities, envelopes with film windows, and fluffy cotton paper, expanding the possibility of high value-added products with enhanced expressiveness.

Our highly reliable paper transport system combines a mechanical decurler and a warm-air-heating decurler to control paper curl for optimal post-processing. A number of high-speed hot air dryers are placed at optimal locations along the transport path, and the mechanical decurler automatically changes the tension according to the thickness and characteristics, providing the optimal curl adjustment for different media types.
